SSC CHSL: photo and signature guide

The SSC CHSL 2026 notice (section 9.6) asks for a live captured photo and a JPEG signature of 10-20 KB. Prepare the signature file before you start the form.

Official size and format

PhotographLive capture inside the application module on ssc.gov.in or the mySSC app. Good light, plain background, face fully inside the marked area, no cap or spectacles. Old photos may not be re-used.

SignatureJPEG/JPG, 10-20 KB, about 6.0 cm x 2.0 cm, as per notice section 9.6. Blurred or miniature signatures can get the form rejected.

Aadhaar optionWith Aadhaar based authentication, the form is not rejected on photo or signature standards, as per the notice.
