IBPS Clerk Photo & Signature Resize
The IBPS Clerk / CSA form asks for four prepared images - photo, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration - each with its own KB range, plus a live photo step. This page lists the exact numbers and shows how to prepare every file.
Figures come from the IBPS Clerk / CSA guidelines. Pixel sizes are preferred values in those guidelines; always follow any more specific instruction on your actual form.
The four image uploads
IBPS Clerk / CSA image specifications (check your cycle's notification)| File | KB | Preferred pixels |
|---|
| Photo | 20-50 | 200×230 |
| Signature | 10-20 | 140×60 |
| Left thumb | 20-50 | 240×240 |
| Declaration | 50-100 | 800×400 |
The scanning guidance prefers 200 DPI and True Colour. A resizer checks pixels and KB; it cannot set a scanner's DPI, so scan properly first. Certificates are separate: PDF, A4, no more than 500 KB.
Prepare each file
- Keep a clear original of every item. Crop extra paper with the Photo Editor without cutting the face, signature strokes, thumb ridges or declaration text.
- Open Photo / Sign KB and set that item's minimum and maximum KB from the table.
- Export each JPEG and inspect actual size, dimensions and readability in a separate viewer.
- If the minimum cannot be met, the tool withholds the download - return to a cleaner original rather than padding.
Mistakes that get IBPS uploads rejected
- Applying the 10-20 KB signature setting to the handwritten declaration - the declaration needs 50-100 KB.
- A smudged thumb impression: press evenly, neither too light nor too dark.
- Typing the declaration when the guidelines require handwriting (read the stated exception carefully).
- Uploading a file that is inside the KB range but unreadable - KB compliance is not clarity compliance.
