UP Police Photo & Signature Resize

A recent UPPRPB recruitment portal asked for a JPEG photo of 35×45 mm between 20-50 KB and a JPEG signature of 35×15 mm between 5-20 KB. This page shows how to prepare both files correctly for your UP Police form.

These figures are a recent portal example, not a permanent rule. UP Police recruitments set their own numbers - read your current notice and upload screen first.

The sizes to prepare

Millimetre sizes describe the physical print dimensions; your portal may also state pixels. Enter pixel dimensions in the tool only when your actual form specifies them.

Prepare both files

  1. Read the photo, signature and document instructions on your recruitment's application portal; note the KB and millimetre values.
  2. Use a proper passport-style photo and a signature on white paper, cropped tight with the Photo Editor.
  3. Open Photo / Sign KB, select each image, and enter the minimum and maximum KB from your portal.
  4. Export the JPEGs and check actual KB, clarity, framing and format in a separate viewer.
  5. Watch the portal preview after uploading; a blurred or cut image needs a redo from the original, not another compression pass.

Frequently asked questions

What photo size does UP Police need?

A recent UPPRPB portal asked for a 35×45 mm JPEG between 20 and 50 KB. Your current notice is the final authority.

What signature size does UP Police need?

The same recent portal asked for a 35×15 mm JPEG between 5 and 20 KB. Check your own portal's instructions.

Can I use the same file for UP Police and SSC GD?

No. The KB ranges differ (UP Police signature 5-20 KB vs SSC 10-20 KB). Resize fresh for each form.

My file is inside the KB range but rejected. Why?

Check clarity, framing, real JPEG format and the current form instructions - KB alone does not make a file acceptable.
